The author eventually dropped a controversial joke that involved the "rape-in" of legislator's wives after receiving backlash from feminist friends. In July 2012, a woman who prefers to remain anonymous went to a comedy club and sparked widespread controversy by expressing her disapproval of rape jokes being performed at the venue.
